Why Mermaids?

Why mermaids? They retain their beauty and grace no matter how old they get (ever see an old, ugly mermaid?). The ocean bottom is so beautiful, it has to be them who decorate it, anyway, I don't know any other fish with hands and arms. When a little fishie is orphaned because a big bad fish eats their mother, the mermaids probably adopt them and care for them. You see, even though mermaids don't have their own babies, they never lose their instinct to mother. They probably get chased by sharks all day long, because of their beauty.

This mermaid is swimming into the second half of her life. The ocean has been rough, but it has taught her to hold her breath longer, to swim stronger and to handle all of the sharks! There are a lot of little fishies to help grow and develop, some of them abandoned, others just choosing to seek the advice of an older mermaid. Glass and shell collecting keep her busy, so much of that ocean bling, bling available. Also, talk about seafood...this is the place!

Want to join the mermaid sisterhood? How is life in your ocean?
